From brilliant red and orange maple leaves to stunning golden birch and aspen leaves, Minnesota’s North Shore is a beautiful place to experience fall. 

Here are five of our favorite overlooks to check out fall colors: 
White Sky Rock - Lutsen (Short, steep hike)
Susie Islands Overlook - Grand Portage (Overlook off of Hwy 61, no hike required)
Oberg Mountain Loop - Tofte (Moderate 2.3-mile hike) 
Moose Mountain - Lutsen (Overlook at the top of the Summit Express Gondola)
Pincushion Mountain - Grand Marais (~4 mile easy hike) 

The golden leaves typically peak after the maples, so once maple leaves are past peak, check out the aspen and birch trails further north and up the Gunflint Trail!
