🇪🇸🫒 I thought I knew olive oil... until I went to Spain.

Spain is not only the world’s largest wine producer by vineyard area. It is also the world’s largest olive oil producer, accounting for around 40-50% of global olive oil production depending on the harvest year.

What fascinated me most wasn’t only the scale.

🌿 Millions of olive trees shape entire landscapes.

🌿 Some groves include centuries-old trees that have witnessed generations of agricultural history.

🌿 Extra Virgin Olive Oil is not simply a product here. It’s part of daily life, local culture and Mediterranean gastronomy.

🌿 Just like wine, olive oil reflects place, climate, variety and the people behind it.

The more I travel, the more I realize that some of the most interesting stories begin long before they reach our table.

And the olive oil story here was definitely one worth discovering. ✨
