Taiwanese actor Benjamin Tsang is among the contenders for the Best Newcomer Actor accolade at the 2026 Global OTT Awards. This selection marks a major breakthrough on the international stage.

The recognition is based on his performance as Chin Yat-wai in the crime drama “Justice Is Mine”, starring alongside Nick Cheung and Paw Hee-ching. Tsang portrays a judges son whose sudden asthma attack leads to a fatal hit-and-run collision involving the son of a triad boss. This accident sets off a destructive sequence of events, dragging his father into a downward spiral. Critics praised the emotional depth he brings to the role, catching the attention of the festival committee.

An alumnus of the Taipei National University of the Arts, Tsang previously appeared in projects including The On1y One and Something Before and After. Now backed by Master Our Mind Production, this inclusion cements his status within the global streaming era.

The event is organised by the Korea International Streaming Festival. The ceremony will take place on 20 June 2026 at the Outdoor Theatre of the Busan Cinema Center in South Korea, where the final winners will be announced.
