## Caption

Following the tragic bus accident near Townsville, the local hospital called quest_townsvilleoneyre  as several discharged patients urgently needed accommodation at short notice, and they had nowhere else to turn, many guests had lost most of their belongings and arrived distressed and overwhelmed.

Guest Services Manager Kyllie and the team didn't reach for a policy manual. They asked themselves one question: if this were our family, what would they need in the first 24 hours? 

Care packs. Groceries, toiletries, ready-to-eat meals, phone chargers, counselling information. Management staff stayed back after hours to personally welcome and escort each guest to their apartment. For international travellers without mobile access, the team arranged complimentary international calls so they could reach family and let them know they were safe.

They also quietly handled the logistics many guests couldn't face alone, cancelling onward travel, flights, and accommodation bookings so guests could simply rest.
Thanks to star1063tsv  for naming the Quest team Workplace of the Week, a recognition they weren't seeking but definitely deserve.

In the words of Whitney Hoare, Business Development Manager: "Our response was never about recognition. It was simply about showing compassion and providing a little bit of comfort and humanity during what was undoubtedly one of the most difficult moments these guests have experienced."
