Tillman Scholar Tuesday 🏡 How 2024 Tillman Scholar Jude Akpunku is Helping End Veteran Homelessness in Dallas
 
Years ago, Jude wrote about ending veteran homelessness in Dallas in his Tillman Scholar application. Today, that vision is one step closer to becoming reality.
 
Following a recent Dallas City Council vote, Veterans Community Project (VCP) will build a new transitional housing community directly across from the Dallas VA Medical Center. The future site will include 50 tiny homes and on-site support services designed to help veterans achieve long-term stability.
 
"I wrote about ending homelessness among veterans in Dallas in my PTF scholarship application, so actually getting the chance to make it happen is amazing."
 
Congratulations to Jude on this incredible milestone and the impact it will have for veterans in the Dallas community. This is the power of service beyond self.
