Today, the Official Tall Ship of Texas, the 1877 Tall Ship ELISSA, leaves Galveston for her Sail250 voyage to New York City!

She departed from the Galveston Historic Seaport, carrying a piece of Galveston’s maritime history with her for America’s 250th anniversary celebrations. Safe travels, ELISSA! Galveston will be cheering her on ⛵ galvestonhistory
