We are told the climate crisis is everyone’s responsibility, but the truth is some people are driving far more damage than others.⁣

A new Greenpeace Africa report found that the very richest people in the world are associated with billions of dollars worth of climate damage through their highly polluting investments.⁣

That is money that could and should be helping communities recover from floods, build climate resilience, protect nature, and fund a fairer future for all people. Instead, the 99% are left to deal with rising costs, climate disasters, and broken systems they did not create.⁣

Governments must act to ensure that those most responsible pay their fair share for the damage they have caused. Tax extreme wealth. Fund a greener and fairer future.⁣
