Force Them to Figure It Out – 4v4 Defensive Drill

This drill isn’t about running a perfect rotation on command.

It’s about forcing players — at any age — into the exact chaos they’ll face in games and making them figure it out. Defenses have to talk, rotate, and solve problems in real time. No coach on the floor telling them where to go.

Offenses learn to hunt temporary mismatches, then instantly flow into the next concept the moment the advantage is gone.
That’s the real skill: communication under pressure, quick decision-making, and the ability to read-and-react when the plan breaks.
