🌎 🌱 Making a Difference Beyond the Field of Play 🌱🌎 

For the past two years, Meghna Tare ‘03 has prepared for one of the world’s largest sporting events as Chief Sustainability Officer for the North Texas FIFA World Cup 2026 Organizing Committee.

Drawing on nearly 16 years of sustainability leadership experience, Meghna works alongside local governments, nonprofits, and businesses to create a lasting impact through initiatives such as community clean-up challenges, tree-planting projects, and regional sustainability efforts. Her goal is to help raise the standard for sustainable sporting events while demonstrating that community celebration, economic growth, and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand.

We’re proud to see a USF alumna, and Sport Management Advisory Board Member, making an impact on the global stage and helping shape the future of sustainability in sports.
