**New Podcast Alert 🎙️**

Thank you to Jim Wendler, Matt Rhodes, and Vincent Dizenzo for coming back on Table Talk.

This one was exactly what you’d expect when four lifters who have been around each other for decades sit down and let it rip. We talked about what the barbell gives you, what it eventually takes away, and how training changes when you’re no longer chasing the same numbers but still refuse to quit.

We got into the reality of aging under the bar, learning how to train instead of test, why submaximal work still builds monsters, the role of GPP and “extra workouts,” coaching high school athletes, old-school gym culture, Louie Simmons stories, strongman vs. powerlifting, and why some of the best lessons come from getting beat up, showing up, and doing the work anyway.

There’s a lot of history in this one, but there’s also a lot of truth for anyone trying to stay strong, stay useful, and keep training for the long haul.

This podcast, **The Barbell Giveth, and the Barbell Taketh Away | Jim Wendler, Matt Rhodes, & Vincent Dizenzo - Dave Tate’s Table Talk Podcast #422**, can be seen on elitefts YouTube and Spotify and heard on all podcast networks.
