Christian Eriksen collapsed on a soccer field — again. 🫀

In 2021, he had a full cardiac arrest during Euro 2020. His heart stopped. CPR was performed on the field. The world watched, terrified.

Now, during a friendly against Ukraine, he grabbed his chest and went down again.

But here’s the difference: this time, his ICD fired.

An Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator, a device surgically placed in his chest after 2021, detected a dangerous heart rhythm and delivered a shock that reset his heart. 
He was briefly unconscious. Within minutes, he was awake. He walked off the field himself.

The team doctor confirmed: “The pacemaker responded as it should.”

That’s not a tragedy. That’s medicine working exactly as intended.
