Gov. Kim Reynolds has lots of memories of spending time at Lake Ahquabi State Park.

"I grew up in St. Charles, of course, so this was in our backyard, and we were here all the time," she said.

In fact, she added, standing in front of Lake Ahquabi, "this is where we did our official skip day when I was a senior at Interstate 35."

The park marked the perfect location for Reynolds to sign her 19th executive order as governor establishing a new Iowa Office of Outdoor Recreation.
