Omar Artan estaba listo para hacer historia como el primer árbitro somalí en oficiar en una Copa Mundial de la FIFA. 

Pero tras ser rechazado en un aeropuerto de Miami por supuestas “preocupaciones de seguridad”, la FIFA lo retiró de su lista de árbitros, desatando indignación y una bienvenida de héroe en Somalia.
