Grief didn’t just change how I think about the people I’ve lost.

Ever since losing my dad, I’ve started thinking differently about the people I still have.

Not in a fearful way.

In a grateful way.

Because grief taught me something I wish wasn’t true:

One day, every person we love becomes a memory.

Not today.
Not tomorrow.
But eventually.

And somehow that makes the ordinary moments feel sacred.

The text messages.
The dinner conversations.
The hugs goodbye.
The “see you later.”

Grief didn’t just teach me about loss.

It taught me how precious people really are.

Maybe that’s why I say “I love you” more now.

Maybe that’s why I try not to save everything for later.

Because grief taught me that later isn’t promised. ❤️
