As a reminder, the southern Baptist convention only exists because they broke away from the Baptist convention when the original convention said you could not be a slave owner and a missionary. They decided that slave owners should in fact be able to be missionaries. So they have a long history of protecting those who abuse and dehumanize and claiming that they are Christians. #deconstruction #exvangelical #currentevents #news
