A late-night crash in Phoenix ended with a driver behind bars after police say he ran a red light and slammed into a Phoenix Fire truck. 🚒🚨

According to investigators, it happened around 1:20 a.m. near 7th Street and Northern Avenue when an SUV struck the side of a ladder tender.

Police say the driver showed signs of impairment and was later booked on DUI and drug-related charges.

What makes the crash even crazier:
• The SUV suffered major front-end damage
• The fire truck had relatively minor damage
• Despite how serious it could have been… no one was hurt

Authorities also say a substance believed to be meth was found at the scene.

Another reminder of how quickly one bad decision can put a lot of lives at risk.
