Sam Reid and Jacob Anderson star in #InterviewWithTheVampire, the bloody, bonkers Anne Rice adaptation that’s also one of the most original shows on TV. They’ve been a unit for half a decade now, with the two becoming, as Reid describes them, “best friends” along the way. (A much more wholesome relationship than that of their characters, two eternally complex, dependably toxic, in-love immortals.)

Season three—#TheVampireLestat, out June 7—marks a departure from the first two seasons: Tonally, it’s less of a gothic romance and more of a campy, glittery, sex-drugs-and-rock-and-roll-fueled whirlwind music documentary, with an expectant fan base as hyped as an actual screaming crowd at a concert.

As showrunner and producer Rolin Jones says of the way Anderson and Reid are juxtaposed onscreen this season, “One is in the front, and one is pushing behind. They’re both so selfless about it. And they’re a real support for each other. It’s very beautiful to watch.”

GQ’s trishnarikhy hung out with the immortally bonded pair ahead of season three, where the leather pants get tighter and the plot gets wilder. Read the full GQ HYPE at the link in bio.
