The Commons is the newest course at Sand Valley Golf Resort — a 12-hole “afternoon course” designed by Jim Craig, a longtime Coore & Crenshaw shaper and lead associate on The Sandbox. Built into the growing Sedge Village side of the resort, The Commons brings a different kind of energy to Sand Valley: fast, fun, creative, and endlessly playable.

The course is meant to feel less like a formal championship test and more like golf in its most joyful form — bold contours, open approaches, short walks, interesting options, and holes that invite every kind of player to take a chance. In a resort already known for Sand Valley, Mammoth Dunes, The Lido, Sedge Valley, and The Sandbox, The Commons adds something beautifully simple: a place to keep playing, keep wandering, and remember why golf is supposed to be fun.
