## Caption

Mountain lion, cougar, puma, panther and sometimes even catamount — this big cat is known by many different names. 

Call them what you wish, but have you ever wondered what they sound like?

Cougars tend to make very little noise in the woods. But when they do, they most often make a chirping sound that can sound similar to a person whistling or a bird chirping. 

Other sounds can include purrs, hisses, growls and even startling screams.

Turn your volume up to hear these two cubs communicate with their mom.
