The runner slides into second base, but the umpire quickly signals, “You’re out!” As he makes the forceful out call, he swings his arm forward with the classic punching motion used by umpires.

Unfortunately, the runner is standing right in front of him, and the umpire’s fist accidentally catches him in the side of the head. The contact is completely accidental, but without any baseball context, it looks like the umpire literally punched the runner after calling him out.
