Nobody prepares you for the identity crisis of it.

You were a good parent. 
You did everything right. 

And somehow you’ve ended up fielding calls from the school, arguing with your child at 8am, and quietly googling things you’re too ashamed to say out loud.

The advice you’ve been given isn’t wrong because you failed to follow it. It’s wrong because it was never designed for a nervous system in survival mode.

That’s not a opinion. That’s the gap between what your child’s body is doing and what the system is trained to fix.
