3 tips to shave a minute off your sled push in Hyrox

1. Train heavier than race weight

If you always train at race weight, race weight will always feel hard.

Spend time pushing heavier loads in training so race day feels familiar.

Make race weight feel light.

2. Push the ground behind you

Most athletes push down into the ground.

That’s a mistake.

Think about driving your feet backwards.

The harder you push the ground behind you, the more force gets transferred into the sled moving forward.

3. Lean into the sled

Your center of mass matters.

Instead of holding yourself up with your hands, use a hook grip and lean your body weight into the sled.

The farther forward your center of mass is, the more of your bodyweight helps move the sled.

This was one of the biggest unlocks in my own sled push.

The sled push isn’t just strength.

It’s technique.

And better technique means less energy wasted and faster splits.

Master these three things and you’ll be shocked how much faster the sled starts moving.
