Married at First Sight Australia stars have told BBC News the show left them feeling unsafe and unprotected, because their on-screen partners had criminal pasts which they had not been told about. 
 
MAFS Australia is made by a different production company to the UK version, Endemol Shine Australia, and is aired on Channel 9 in Australia – they said they have “strong protocols in place to ensure participant safety and wellbeing”.
