## Caption

On-campus student housing is one of the strongest predictors of whether a college student stays enrolled, completes their degree, and feels they belong. The University of Cincinnati is investing $326 million in that belief.

UC President Neville G. Pinto said it directly during a recent site tour of the Block 1 and Block 2 residence hall complex: "These are investments into the well-being and future of the next generation of students who will lead our society. We need to make sure they are truly part of a great community of learners."

UC's Block 1 and Block 2 residence hall complex, a student housing development integrating living, learning, and community into a single campus environment, will add more than 1,300 beds near UC's Uptown campus when it opens in fall 2027.  It is the largest new housing development in UC's history, according to Rob Knarr, PE, capital projects senior project manager at UC.

These aren't just new buildings. They are the infrastructure behind a growing institution that understands where students live shapes who they become.
