For Jac Kern, being a Bearcat for Life is about discovering that sometimes the place you were meant to be was right in front of you all along!

Originally looking to leave Cincinnati behind for big city life, Jac eventually found her way back after transferring as a student. While balancing work and school, it was an internship through UC’s journalism program that helped launch a career in storytelling before graduation. 🐾

Years later, that journey came full circle when an opportunity brought Jac back to UC, where she has now spent nearly a decade helping elevate and share the stories of Bearcats across the university.

Through sharing the experiences, achievements and impact of others, Jac found a deeper connection not only to UC, but to Cincinnati itself.
