Nishesh Basavareddy just pulled off an INSANE upset over No. 7 Taylor Fritz in the first round at the French Open. Nishesh won in four sets (7-6, 7-6, 6-7, 6-1) to earn his SECOND MAJOR WIN & FIRST WIN VS. A TOP-10 OPPONENT. Coming into tonight’s match, Nishesh was 0-3 against Top-10 opponents and 1-4 in Grand Slam matches. 🎾 

He became the first American man to beat a Top-10 opponent at Roland-Garros since Jan-Michael Gambill in 2000. The 21-year-old is moving on to the second round at Roland-Garros.
