On Monday, on June 8th, SUNY Morrisville announced the hiring of Sebastian Ragno as new head coach for the men’s ice hockey program.

Ragno, a native of Johnstown, PA, is a 2018 graduate of Kent State University with a degree in architecture and is currently completing degree requirements for his master’s in business administration in sport leadership from Johnson & Wales. He has been active in player development since graduation as he served as VP and co-founder of ETM Goaltending from 2018-2022, was the director of Stop It Goaltending from 2022-2024 and was goaltending coach for Culver Academies from 2019-2022.

Since 2022, Ragno also serves as the associate coach-in-chief for USA Hockey in Rhode Island, where he had the responsibility of scheduling, organizing, promoting and administering clinics conducted as part of the coaching education program. His coaching stints include the Mentor Ice Breakers (FHL), Trine, Fort Wayne Spacemen (USPHL), Stonehill and Clarkson. His last two stops he served as an assistant coach.
