The weird thing about the last day of school is that one minute your room is full of life, and the next it’s just… quiet. The desks are empty. The room is clean. And somehow, I’m still sitting here wondering where the year went. Room 409 was LOUD. It was chaotic. It was silly. It was full of energy. And honestly, I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. Ofc there were hard days. There ALWAYS are. Days where I left wondering if I taught enough, helped enough, reached everyone the way I wanted to. Days where I left and my ears were ringing and I just needed to sit in silence for a while (iykyk). There were frustrations. There were tough conversations. There were tears (both theirs and mine LOL😂). But even on the hard days, there was so so soooo much love in this room. What I’ll remember most isn’t any test score, lesson, or assignment. It’s the roaring laughter. The inside jokes. The spontaneous singing parties. The way they walked into school every morning ready for whatever adventure the day had in store. Ready to tackle it, together.  Every year is special in its own way, but this group reminded me that sometimes the best days aren’t the perfectly planned ones. Sometimes you just need to stop, have fun, sing the song, play the game, and enjoy being together. What a privilege it was to be your teacher.
