The NL Cy Young race is absolutely loaded with amazing MLB starting pitchers right now. There are many baseball pitchers you can make a serious case to win the award.

Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Dodgers continues to put up numbers that don’t seem real. Jacob Misiorowski of the Milwaukee Brewers is overpowering hitters with some of the nastiest pitches in baseball. Chris Sale of the Atlanta Braves has looked like the dominant ace that once terrorized Major League Baseball for years. Paul Skenes of the Pittsburgh Pirates keeps proving why he’s already one of the most feared pitchers in the game despite being so early in his baseball career.

And then there are guys like Christopher Sánchez of the Philadelphia Phillies and Chase Burns of the Cincinnati Reds, who deserve far more attention than they’re getting. Both pitchers have been phenomenal and have quietly put together seasons that stack up with almost anyone in the National League.

There doesn’t seem to be a clear frontrunner for National League Cy Young Award the moment. Whether it’s overwhelming strikeout numbers, elite run prevention, or pure dominance on the mound, this race has a little bit of everything.
