Last week was “Golf’s Longest Day.” It’s 36 holes, one day, and a shot at earning a place in the U.S. Open. We were on site at Gaston Country Club as players battled through one of the toughest days in golf, chasing a dream and a ticket to Shinnecock Hills.

Now, all eyes turn to the season’s third major. The 126th U.S. Open begins tomorrow, and several familiar faces from the Carolinas will be teeing it up on one of golf’s biggest stages.
