Pac was born in June 16th, 1971 in East Harlem. He was raised by his mother Afeni Shakur, who was known for her involvement with the Black Panthers. His rise began in the 1980's with, performing as a rapper and dancer for the group Digital Underground. Pac released his debut album '2pacalypse Now' in 1991. It dove into social and political themes, while shining a light on the harsh realities of inner city life. In 1995, Pac released 'Me Against The World' white incarcerated. It detailed how he felt betrayed by the world and expressed his feelings for how he was being publicly perceived. 1 year later, Pac would release one of the best selling albums of all time: 'All Eyez On Me' The album solidified him as a legend. Decades after his tragic passing, Pac is still referenced by 1000s of artists across the globe and is seen by many as the GOAT.
