This Pride Month, we’re proud to recognize the Ally Care Center at Westchester Medical Center for expanding access to gender-affirming care.

With support from the New York State Department of Health, the Center has been awarded the Lorena Borjas TGNCNB Award, helping fund a dedicated Peer Navigator, Ivan Woodard who works directly with patients to:
• Navigate gender-affirming care
• Connect with affirming providers
• Access the services they need across the WMCHealth Network

Additionally, we have added a dedicated mental health provider as a part of this funding.

As a comprehensive primary care clinic, the Ally Care Center also provides preventive screenings, vaccinations, and referrals, all in a space where patients feel safe, respected, and supported.

Because everyone deserves care that recognizes who they are.
