Iconic furniture retailer IKEA will open its first Western New York location at Walden Galleria next year, it was announced Monday.

The store, which will occupy around 67,000 square feet at the former Sears, will have more than 5,000 products on display. It will also feature its familiar Swedish restaurant.

Currently, the closest location to Buffalo is in Burlington, Ontario. The closest American location is in Syracuse.
