I like how this movie is just two hours of your heart being put through a paper shredder.

But my favorite thing about this movie is that it stays away from those easy, fake Hollywood endings and just sits with the reality of addiction. The cycle of hope and then the heartbreaking relapse is exhausting to watch. You cannot help but feel deeply for Chalamet AND Carell throughout. A father and son holding onto each other by a thread.
