Today is World Environment Day.

The tree behind me is older than any conversation we are having about saving it.

I photograph in East Africa because the land tells you what is coming before the animals do. The places I work — Loisaba, Amboseli, the Serengeti — are on the front line of what a changing climate looks like. The rains arrive differently now. The grass burns earlier. The animals travel further to find what they need.

2015 to 2025 were the hottest eleven years ever recorded.

We are not separate from this. We are it.
