Mexico’s first-ever stop-motion film, “Soy Frankelda,” has been making waves since its Netflix premiere on June 12. The animated fantasy film, which follows Mexican writer Frankelda on a monster-filled adventure through mystical realms and her subconscious, debuted on Rotten Tomatoes with a perfect 100% score, and fans are loving its creativity, beautiful visuals, and musical moments. And if that’s not enough, Guillermo del Toro has given it his stamp of approval, as he helped filmmaking duo Roy and Arturo Ambriz during the film’s production.
