Meet Sarah Jakobetz, performance Engineer and Technical Expert in Powertrain Application at Affalterbach Racing GmbH, the brand-new in-house AMG motorsport division responsible for developing the next generation Mercedes-AMG GT3 🏎️

Sarah’s career in GT and touring car racing spans nearly a decade. She began as a performance engineer at HWA AG - the legendary outfit behind mercedesamgmotorsport DTM programme - working trackside with drivers including Pascal Wehrlein and Paul di Resta. She also supported the fiaf3 programme and Mercedes-AMG customer racing teams running the GT3 and GT4 🙌

Her foundation was built in automotive engineering at Hochschule Esslingen, where she also led the Formula Student team. The future of one of motorsport’s most iconic customer racing programmes is being built right now, and women like Sarah are building it 💪
