Recruited at 15. WCC Champion. A statement every time she steps on the court at the University of San Diego and a player her team leans on.

But this one isn’t about the résumé. It’s about the work behind it.

When Ava came to us, she already jumped well. What the force plates told us was different: she was landing hard and uneven one leg swallowing up to 45% more load than the other, and not even the same leg every rep. On a court built on jumping and landing thousands of times a season, that’s not a stat. That’s a risk.

So we didn’t just train her. We measured her every session and let the numbers write the program. Same exercises for everyone is a good time. It’s not a result. When the data drives the work, you train the actual weakness instead of just chasing fatigue.

Five months later:

→ Peak landing force cut by roughly a third to a half, softer, more controlled, jumping higher while landing lighter
→ Side-to-side landing imbalance from 35–45% down to under 1%
→ Springier, more reactive, more durable, at the same bodyweight

That’s the difference between getting tired and getting better. Ava bought into the little things, kept it fun, and trusted the process and her body is now built to do the things she loves, longer.

Now we get strategic. At this level, the next inch of performance and the protection that keeps her on the floor come from the same place: the data.

This is just the next chapter.
