Most people train movement by strengthening muscles.

This trains the connections between them.

In this quadruped Swiss ball position, the knees stay together while the hips remain flexed and the pelvis rotates side to side. The goal isn’t mobility—it’s control.

As the hips throw from one side to the other, the body is forced to separate pelvic motion from shoulder stability. This is pelvic-shoulder decoupling: the ability to rotate, transfer force, and absorb momentum without losing trunk position.

The Deep Front Line must organize the system. Diaphragm, pelvic floor, deep abdominals, hip stabilizers, and psoas work together to create pressure and control while the body moves around a stable center.

At the same time, the Spiral Line links the opposite shoulder to the opposite hip, teaching rotational force transmission through the trunk instead of leaking energy through the low back, hips, or shoulders.

The Swiss ball adds instability and momentum, forcing the nervous system to solve the movement in real time.

Benefits:
• Rotational power and control
• Deep core integration
• Pelvic and rib cage control
• Improved force transmission through the spiral sling systems
• Better gait, running, throwing, striking, and change of direction mechanics
• Reduced reliance on low back extension for stability

This isn’t a core exercise.

It’s a force transmission exercise.

The goal isn’t to resist movement.

The goal is to organize movement.

If you’re tired of feeling stiff, unstable, disconnected, or constantly fighting compensation patterns, check out my 12-Week Movement Restoration Program.

I’ll show you exactly how we build these systems step-by-step—from the feet, to the pelvis, to the trunk, to full-body force transmission—so you can move efficiently, produce more power, and regain control of your body.
