Watching Lucas this past year has been something else. Two separate injuries, each one pulling him out of sport, each one setting his training and progress back. Most guys would have folded. Lucas didn’t.

He came back. Locked in. Two, sometimes three sessions a day to get himself back to game speed. No shortcuts, no excuses, just work. And when he wasn’t training, he was pouring into young basketball players, passing on the craft, or showing up for his family. That’s the part people don’t see. The stuff that happens off the court says everything about who he is on it.

Our training has been intense and all encompassing. Every session has had purpose. Every rep has meant something. You can’t fake the kind of commitment Lucas has shown, and you can’t teach the mindset he walks in with either. He brings it. Every single day.

The comeback isn’t just about getting healthy. It’s about proving to yourself that setbacks don’t define you, your response does. Lucas has answered that question loud and clear.

Proud of this guy. The best is still ahead.
