## Caption

The first #Pride flag flew at the San Francisco Gay Freedom Day Parade in June 1978. 🏳️‍🌈 Originally designed with eight colors, it was later simplified to six for production.

The flag has continued to evolve, carrying more colors and deeper meaning — like the Progress Pride Flag we see widely today, with stripes representing trans people, people of color, and those affected by HIV/AIDS.

Each version reflects more identities, histories, and advocacies within the community. But one thing remains true: it’s a symbol of visibility, inclusivity, and pride. And we’ll keep waving it proudly.

Which Pride flag means the most to you? 💭💖
