‘We’re so back....” (every A-10 pilot)....The Pentagon confirmed yesterday that the A-10 Thunderbolt II...better known as the ‘Warthog’ is now actively conducting combat ops in the Strait of Hormuz, strafing Iranian fast-attack boats—and who knows what else in the southern parts of Iran and the Persian Gulf—as part of Operation Epic Fury.  According to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Dan Caine, the A-10 is ‘now in the fight across the southern flank....” (swipe left for clip—)....

Originally designed in the 1970’s for close air support/anti-tank missions, the A-10 has proven over and over—and now hopefully once again—why it’s the most beloved and effective aircraft in supporting ground ops in the U.S. arsenal.
