The U.S. continues to put escalating pressure on Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro after operators seized the VLCC Skipper off the Venezuelan coast—one of the largest tanker seizures ever conducted. U.S. officials say the ship covertly loaded more than a million barrels of sanctioned Venezuelan crude linked to Iranian trade before attempting transfers near Curaçao and Cuba...there are also reports it may have had covert electronic countermeasures on board.
