We’ll bet you didn’t have this on your 2025 bingo card: Russia tested their Poseidon “nuclear torpedo” — a doomsday-class weapon designed to wipe out coastal cities with “radioactive tsunamis” up to 1,600 feet high, according to Vladimir Putin. He made the announcement while drinking tea with wounded Russian soldiers at a Moscow hospital—calling the launch a “huge success.” (But no video of the test was released…)

The Poseidon, which operates as an autonomous underwater nuclear drone, was reportedly launched from a submarine for the first time, activating its onboard nuclear reactor during testing—though no proof/evidence has been released. Russia claims Poseidon’s destructive power “significantly exceeds” the Sarmat ICBM — which can already carry up to 15 nuclear warheads.

Estimates suggest Poseidon can deliver a 2-megaton nuclear payload—roughly 150 times stronger than the bomb dropped on Hiroshima in 1945–It’s designed to detonate near a coastline, unleashing a radioactive ‘storm surge’ that would render entire coastal regions uninhabitable for decades. It’s an almost-unimaginable type of long-lasting, invisible damage.

There was a failed Poseidon test in 2022, this would be the first successful test....and it follows the successful test of the Burevestnik — the nuclear-powered cruise missile dubbed a “tiny flying Chernobyl.” Both weapons were originally unveiled in 2018 (after the U.S. withdrew from the 1972 Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty) and expanded NATO’s defense network — moves Russia claims were provocation to create a new modern, “invincible” nuclear arsenal....We’ll keep you updated: thevigilantheroes
