WATCH: GBU‑57 “MOP” in Action

The U.S. Air Force has released new test footage of the GBU‑57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP) — a 30,000‑lb bomb designed to destroy heavily fortified underground targets.

The release comes after seven B‑2 Spirit bombers dropped 14 MOPs during Operation Midnight Hammer, striking Iran’s most protected nuclear sites:

• 12 bombs hit the Fordow enrichment facility
• 2 hit the Natanz nuclear site
• Separately, Tomahawk cruise missiles targeted the Isfahan Nuclear Technology Center

The GBU‑57 is the most powerful non-nuclear bomb in the U.S. arsenal, capable of penetrating 200+ feet of reinforced concrete and earth.

This marks the first-ever combat use of the weapon.
