Marines with Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting, Marine Wing Support Squadron 472, 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, battled simulated aircraft blazes during an Integrated Training Exercise at Twentynine Palms, California last week.

Images feature LCpl. Yifei Zhao breathing through a gas mask while preparing to face intense flames while LCpl. Joseph Vasquez advances with a charged fire hose, ready to suppress the aircraft fire. Together with their fellow ARFF Marines—including LCpl. Jordan Graham & others—they honed critical skills under high-stress, “live-fire” conditions. The ITX is the capstone readiness evaluation for Marine Forces Reserve units, confirming combat effectiveness through realistic scenarios that challenge every aspect of a unit...from the looks of this—they’re ready!
