Six U.S. Air Force B-2 Spirit stealth bombers have departed Whiteman AFB, Missouri, and are reportedly en route to Andersen AFB in Guam, according to multiple officials. The timing—coinciding with recent tankers, fighters and other bomber deployments to the region—certainly points to “options” for a U.S. role in the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict.

The aircraft were observed refueling mid-air very shortly after takeoff, indicating a heavy weapons load, potentially including bunker-buster bombs—it’s speculation, but very well could be as the B-2 is the only aircraft in the world capable of delivering the 30,000-pound GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator—a weapon designed specifically to reach deeply buried targets like Iran’s Fordow nuclear facility.

Experts say that destroying Fordow “from the air is a job only the U.S.—and only the B-2—can do.” These precision-guided weapons penetrate layers of earth and reinforced concrete using kinetic force before detonating, able to collapse buried nuclear infrastructure without necessarily vaporizing it.
