From a landfill to Atlanta’s Alliance Theatre - the story of Paraguay’s Recycled Orchestra is taking the stage this month for the world premiere of Basura: A New Musical.  Gloria Estefan and her daughter, Emily, wrote the music and lyrics to capture the story by book writer Karen Zacarias. They stopped by ATL Live to talk about what went into the show, how it landed in Atlanta and the incredible talent that is bringing this story to life including Music Supervisor Alex Lacamoire (Hamilton, In the Heights), Director Michael Greif (Rent, Dear Evan Hansen),  Choreographer Patricia Delgado (Buena Vista Social Club), and dramaturg Ken Cerniglia.
