Amanda Seyfried finally spoke out about the scrapped Joni Mitchell biopic she was set to star in... and it turns out she learned the whole ‘Blue’ album for the role! 💿

While Amanda sat down with British GQ, Seyfried revealed that she learned the iconic ‘Blue’ album on dulcimer, piano and guitar during the COVID-19 pandemic to prepare for the biopic.

“It was a movie about her and [manager] Elliot Roberts,” she told the outlet. “Then he died – but not before I met him.”

She also revealed how she met Joni Mitchell and was invited to the legend’s house for a steak dinner while sitting by the fire listening to the album. 🎹

“I sat on the floor petting one of the dogs. She told me a lot of stories,” Seyfried shared. “After we listened to the album, she’s like, ‘It’s sparse, isn’t it?’” Seyfried responded: “It’s perfect!”

It was recently announced that ‘Almost Famous’ director, Cameron Crowe, will now be directing a different Mitchell biopic with Anya Taylor-Joy and Meryl Streep reportedly set to play the younger and older versions of the Canadian icon. 🎬

According to Amanda, once news broke of his version of the film, people reached out to Cameron saying “‘What the f**k are you doing, dude?’”
