Here’s what Theta means to Taegan:
“When I think about my time in Theta, the first thing that comes to mind isn’t a single event or accomplishment, it’s the people. Coming to UConn, I never could have imagined how many incredible women would become such an important part of my life. From seeing my sisters around campus and participating in philanthropy events to the excitement of recruitment season preparations and countless spontaneous hangouts, I’ve found friendships that have shaped me into a more confident, driven, and authentic version of myself.
Currently, serving as Recruitment Director has given me the opportunity to give back to the chapter that has given me so much. Being involved in preparing for recruitment and helping showcase everything that makes Theta special has already been one of the most rewarding experiences of my college career. Living with two of the incredible women this chapter brought into my life and being surrounded by women who constantly inspire, support, and challenge me has made Theta feel like so much more than an organization; it feels like home.
The memories I’ve made, the lessons I’ve learned, and the people I’ve met through this sisterhood have truly defined my UConn experience. I am endlessly grateful for every woman who has made this chapter what it is and for the opportunity to be a part of something so special.
